What is iOKee?
iOKee is a Photography and Design company based in London. The brand name "iOKee" was created in 2006, however
the idea and progress began a long time before this. The founder of iOKee is
Shay (that's me - the person writing this).
What does iOKee mean?
The word "iOKee" means "amazing
photography and graphics"... ok, I lied, it doesn't! The word
doesn't actually have a meaning, it was comletely made up. A lot of people think
its a Japanese or Chinese word/name, but its not. It is made up purely for use
as a brand name.
What we do, how we do (all that kind of stuff)...
As you already know (I did tell you above!), we do photography and graphics.
All different kinds of photography. Modeling
Photography, Wedding Photography, Glamour
Photography, Club
Events Photography, Corporate
Events Photography, Party
Photography, Product Photography... lots and lots and lots of Photography!
We even take photos
of flowers and well... anything really!
Although our main focus is on photography, we also do graphics, from retouching
photographs to creating digital images, paintings, corporate identies, flyers
and other promotional material.
Who are the people behind iOKee?
We have five people who are making iOKee work. Its a small team with big talents. Meet the family - on the right hand side you will find photos of each member of the iOKee family. I say "family" because we not work together, but a good friends
The History of iOKee...
The name "iOKee" came about in
2006. I registered the name and used the site to display some of my personal
photography and graphics work. A few months later I started doing a lot of events
photography for clubs like Ministry of Sound and events promoters all over the
UK. These photos all ended up on iOKee.com and as time went on I ventured into
other forms of photography and these also made it onto the website.
Through club and event photography I started doing a lot of artists and performers
portraits photography. Over the course of 2007 I met some great personalities
and have been able to network and gain a bigger audience and client base. Photography
has since turned from hobby to part-time job to full-time job and now life!
